Seoul International Marathon (also called the 82nd Dong-A Maraton ) was held on March 20th through the heart of Seoul from Gwanghwamun to Jamsil Stadium.

Since 2009, Dong-A Newspaper Corporation has been collecting donations for Ethiopia under the theme of ‘42.195 km is Love’ and have sponsored a project called ‘Hope’. For the 2011 Seoul International Marathon Dong-A sponsored a project which is affiliated with the World Vision around the theme of ‘Run for Children’.. 

The day broke with chilly spring weather and early morning rain.  Seegene was represented by Mr. Chang Duk Hwan, a domestic business division chief.  Mr. Chang successfully finished the course. Mr. Chang has been running the marathon since year 2004 to challenge himself. Mr. Chang has showed Seegene employees that despite a heavy schedule, he never gave up training for the marathon so that he could fulfill a promise that he made it to himself.
