Hosted by the American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC), the 2015 Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, the largest exhibition of molecular diagnostic equipment in America was held from July 26 to 30 in Atlanta, Georgia. It was an occasion for world-class diagnostics companies to convene and display their latest equipment, technology, and products as well as the most recent trends in the industry. Seegene participated as an exhibitor, under the theme “Next-generation Real-time PCR,” and presented eight Allplex™ products that aim to lead the future of the multiplex real-time PCR market.

At this year’s AACC Expo, Seegene proposed a solution for the effective operation of commercial laboratories. From products that enable the verification of multiple C_t values, which was not possible with existing real-time PCR technology, to a unique streamlined automated solution, “All-in-One” system. Since the platform can detect any pathogen accurately with minimize the requirement of both, lab space or various types of equipment and highly trained personnel, it allows improved lab productivity, increased equipment efficiency and flexible capability of workflow. Seegene’s presentation was lauded by many for offering a solution that satisfies the needs of both doctors and patients, from large C-labs that need to conduct bulk testing to the small hospitals with simple platforms.

One part of the Seegene booth featured a special event where a gift was made for each visitor. Booth assistants dressed in traditional Korean attire (hanbok) stamped the name of each visitor onto a canvas bag in Hangeul (Korean alphabet), creating both a personalized gift and a positive impression of the company. The event was hugely popular throughout the duration of the expo.
The 2016 AACC Expo will be held from August 1 to 4 in Philadelphia.
