Seegene’s high multiplex real-time quantitative PCR technology is creating a new paradigm in molecular diagnosis, which allows for not only simultaneous detection of up to 20 pathogens, but also allows for the simultaneous quantification of multiple targets. Many AACC participants as well as Seegene’s partners from other diagnostic companies visited Seegene’s booth and showing their curiosity concerning the new technology and products.  

TOCE-based high multiplex real-time quantitative PCR assays such as QuantiPlex RV-16, QuantiPlex STI-7, QuantiPlex HPV28 as well as QuantiPlex MTB.MDR/XDR detection assays represent the versatility and uniqueness of the new technology.

One of Seegene’s major European distributors stated “many diagnostic companies are showing their interests in Seegene’s high multiplex quantitative real-time PCR..I’m excited to be participating in successfully launching these new products in Europe with Seegene’s unique Technology”.  

Another hot topic at Seegene’s booth was the NIMBUS IVD instrument, an automatic liquid handling system which provides consistent performance from nucleic acid extraction to PCR set up. The NIMBUS IVD, which was also displayed back in March at ECCMID, simplifies test procedures, minimizes hands-on-time and shortens the turnaround time of assays. The instrument drew attention from many participants as it contributes to the automation of Seegene’s diagnostic assays and plays a significant role in meeting the increasing demand for molecular diagnostics. 

Seegene attends the annual AACC meeting to interact with multinational corporations and research institutes and to keep up with the latest trends and changes in the diagnostics industry. Seegene’s participation also contributes in the education of current and future customers from around the world and allows Seegene to meet with potential  business partners in order to build long-term professional relationship.

AACC is an international scientific/medical society of clinical laboratory professionals, physicians, research scientists and other individuals involved with clinical chemistry and related disciplines and next annual meeting will be held in Houston, Texas, July 30-Aug 2013.
