From May 17~20, Seegene participated in Hospitalar 2016, a medical trade fair held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The largest medical trade fair in Latin America, Hospitalar showcases all the latest medical equipment, diagnosis technology, and medical supplies and services to individuals who work at hospitals and laboratories. Each year, over 90,000 people from all manner of fields in the medical industry visit the event. More than 1,250 companies from all over the world participated in this year’s exhibition.

Brazil has the strongest economy in Latin America and the eighth largest health care market in the world. Its health care market grows each year because of the government’s constant expansion of health projects and the increasing demand for cutting-edge medical equipment.

Seegene participated this year for the first time, introducing its all-in-one platform system, which can conduct diagnoses according to a wide range of categories, such as gastrointestinal infection, respiratory infection, sexually-transmitted diseases, and cervical cancer. Seegene also attracted significant attention for its Allplex™ product line, which allows for the selection of the most appropriate test for a patient’s condition per pathogen panel.

Through this event, Seegene found local business partners and furthered its efforts to establish a bridgehead for entering the Brazilian and other Latin American medical equipment markets.
