On April 25, 2015, the 25th Meeting of the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. A European academic society on clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, the ECCMID brings together over 33,000 members and 7,000 participants every year.

At the congress, Seegene unveiled three new product series that are based on MuDT™ technology, a next-generation, real-time PCR technology: the Allplex™ Respiratory Full Panel Assay (tests for 26 causes of respiratory disease), Allplex™ Gastrointestinal Full Panel Assay (tests for 25 causes of diarrhea), and Allplex™ STI/BV Full Panel Assay (tests for 28 causes of sexually transmitted diseases).

Seegene’s MuDT™ technology is the world’s 1st high multiplex real-time PCR technology. Not only it enables to detect and quantify multiple targets, but also provide a SNP genotyping in a single channel. Furthermore, it provides accurate individual Ct values and allows the selective use of panels (depends on the symptoms), ensuring clinical utility and cost effectiveness. Based on these features, MuDT™ technology has been introduced as a product that can satisfy the needs of both diagnosticians and patients.
