Seegene participated The 2nd National Congress of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathologies in Antalya, Turkey from November 24-27 2011. It a symposium which mainly focus on Human papilloma virus, (HPV), that causes cervical cancer targeting for Obstetrics and gynecology specialist and pathologist. Approximately 1000 attendees came to participate in the symposium this year.

Seegene introduced our HPV screening product which requires only one sample to test multiple pathogens simultaneously in the symposium.

Turkey, in general, doesn’t have a high awareness of molecular diagnostics yet. However, Turkish government is heavily involving in national cervical cancer screening program for HPV early detection; therefore we expect participating in this symposium to be very meaningful in terms of making a contribution to HPV early detection.
