Seegene participated as one of the main sponsors in “2018 Spring Symposium of Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine,” that was held at Grand Walkerhill Seoul for two days from April 12th to 13th.

In this symposium, Seegene presented a combination test solution that can increase the accuracy and efficiency of diagnosis by simultaneously runs all tests which use same types of specimens on a single platform.

Seegene especially received a lot of attention by introducing not only a combination test example for diagnose both tuberculosis and pneumonia for patients who has similar respiratory infection symptoms, but also a test for both STI (Sexually transmitted infections) and HPV (causative virus of cervical cancer), and a test for gastrointestinal screening test which can detect virus, bacteria and parasite that causes gastrointestinal infections all at the same time.

The Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine holds academic symposiums twice a year ? spring and fall, in which domestic professionals in laboratory medicine participate. In this symposium, under the slogan of “Laboratory Medicine in the 4th Industrial Revolution,” practical sessions on technology and prospect that could be applied in laboratory medicine using artificial intelligence in the 4th industrial revolution were given. Also, symposiums and sessions on laboratory quality management system and quality improvement, development direction of laboratory medicine under Moon Jae-In care etc. were discussed as well.
