The 38th European Congress of Cytology (ECC) conference was held in Geneva, Switzerland from September 27th to 30th. The ECC conference is an international conference with over 2,000 participants including geneticists and cytopathologists, who analyze specimens, separated from the human body or obtained through other techniques such as absorption on the cellular level and diagnose various diseases.

During the 4 days of conference, there were multiple presentations given on the latest test trends and academic information in various fields including breast cytopathology, molecular pathology, pediatric cytology and gynecology. In particular, there were many clinical study oral presentations and poster presentations focused on human papilloma virus (HPV) infectious diseases including cervical cancer, and most participants showed a high interest in the relevant test techniques and technology.

At the booth exhibition, Seegene introduced a product that tests 28 types of human papilloma virus and a product that tests high-risk human papilloma viruses, and promoted the importance of regular HPV DNA tests and follow-up to prevent cervical cancer.

In this conference, Seegene had a chance to promote its HPV DNA test products and test automation platform in association with its Swiss agency, and expects that the conference will become a bridgehead for entry into the European market with their outstanding HPV test products.
