Seegene participated ECCMID for 4 days from March 31 in London, England and exhibited a booth there. It is the conference that organized by clinical microbiology and infectious disease specialists in Europe and apporxiamtely 9,000 participants attended this conference this year.

Seegene Inc. a representative of Korean molecular diagnostic companies solely exhibiting a booth in ECCMID every year and we’ve promoted products such as RV, STI based on Seegene’s proprietary technology this year. What made Seegene’s product stood out from any others would be the new concept of Real-time PCR which allows detecting multiple pathogens in a single reaction. A lot of visitors of our booth showed their great interests to product brochures and posters. Furthermore, automated instrument called “The Nimbus” was exhibited at Seegene’s booth to represent how easy it is to extract, amplify and analyze the results using this instrument.

Prior to the exhibition, Seegene Inc. invited current or recently joined distributors throughout the Europe and held a workshop for marketing tactics for sales of new products. Also, on the 3^rd day of ECCMID, which was April 2^nd, we hold a dinner for our major customers in Europe. Along with performances of Jazz band, presentation regarding Seegene’s products that customer’s currently using (including sepsis) fulfilled customer satisfaction and provided wonderful chances to share information.

Medical doctors from Asan Medical Center in Seoul who participated in ECCMID visited Seegene’s booth and supported us and commented “it is thrilled to see how local molecular diagnostic company is competing with major international molecular diagnostic companies in in overseas”.

Meanwhile, London seemed to be busy preparing Olympic 2012 which will be held in July this year. ECCMID was held in the outside of downtown London where beautiful views of the Thames River can be seen. Participants might have enjoyed the great view along with the conference. ECCMID will be held in Berlin, Germany next year from April 27^th 2013 and Seegene’s Europe branch office which located in Germany will do their best to prepare for next year’s conference.
