The first Southern Gyeonggi Province Ob/Gyn Symposium was held by the Seongnam Ob/Gyn Medical Association at the Seongnam Arts Center on September 20th. This symposium was held to exchange the latest findings and promote mutual understanding through academic activities, mainly for ob/gyn specialists in the Southern Gyeonggi Province.

Starting with the opening speech by the chairperson of Seongnam Ob/Gyn Medical Association, the symposium featured presentations on various issues including senile dementia for women, a new paradigm for sexual health clinics, and tips on effective breast treatment for ob/gyn outpatients. The symposium also included a small concert by the Monster Saxophone Ensemble, bringing more entertainment to the event.

Seegene participated with its exhibition booth and introduced their HPV DNA test product, which enables the accurate tracking of the patients’ infection stage with HPVs which causing cervical cancer, by detecting and analyzing the genotypes of HPVs, multiple infections, and their quantificational information. The company also made a short but impressive presentation to ob/gyn specialists in Southern Gyeonggi Province on the necessity and importance of tracking the stage of HPV infection to prevent cervical cancer.
