Seegene shared love by taking part in a hat-knitting campaign for newborns conducted by Save the Children, an international non-profit NGO.
The campaign for knitting hats involves participants knitting woolen hats and sending them to newborn babies and infants in developing countries to save them from hypothermia. As of this year, Seegene has participated in this campaign for seven years.
Seegene encouraged participation by hosting a screening of the knitting instruction video distributed by Save the Children and employed experienced employees as “teachers for the day” to assist first-time participants. The woolen hats painstakingly made by employees and their families will be sent to newborn babies in Africa or Asia through Save the Children.
Seegene staff of the System Integration department said, “I’m glad to have taken part in such a worthwhile case with my children. By spending time together every weekend to knit hats, we were reminded that each life is precious as well as of the true meaning of sharing. I hope that all of the babies who receive our hats grow up healthy and strong and are able to spread even more love to others in need.”
