MEDICA is the world’s largest medical equipment exhibition, which was first held in 1968 and is held in Dusseldorf, Germany every November. MEDICA, in which the present and the future of the world

medical market exist, has an exhibition hall of 180,000㎡. There are about 4,400 leading companies in the medical industry from 64 countries introducing their innovative technologies and equipment. International conferences and diverse forums are held and usually an average 137,200 persons from 100 countries visit.   

This was Seegene’s fifth participation in MEDICA. Seegene showed a notable growth in booth size and in the number of visitors every year and competed with multinational molecular diagnostics companies in the global market. In this MEDICA, Seegene showed that it is developing with more advanced technology and services, including the Seeplex® System, in which the automation system is more strengthened, Magicplex™ and Anyplex™, which are applied to diverse Real-time PCR equipment, determining its position as a global company in the Multiplex PCR molecular diagnostics area.   

The Seegene booth, which had attracted visitors with its bi-level structure, had an area for introduction of products and diagnostic systems on the first floor and an exclusive meeting space for people to have free and active business meetings on the second floor.  

Particularly, there was support from diagnostic equipment companies, Nordiag (Norway) and Lab901 (UK) for an active promotion of automation diagnostic systems which were more emphasized in this conference. Besides, Hamilton (USA), a global company in the automation equipment field, gave Seegene full support, i.e., exhibiting its equipment and assigning its high-quality personnel, so that the exhibition could end in great success.
