GI-Virus Assay

Viral gastroenteritis is an acute infection of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract caused by virus and has signs and symptoms such as watery diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and fever. Among several types of GI virus, some could be fatal as they cause acute diarrhea in infants below age of 5. Therefore, identifying virus types is crucial for monitoring regional outbreak and appropriate treatment.

Allplex™ GI-Virus Assay is a multiplex real-time PCR assay that can identify 6 major GI virus types (ASV, SV, ROV, NVG1, NVG2, ADV-F) causing acute viral gastroenteritis. The assay can provide even more comprehensive syndromic testing when used with Seegene's other GI assays. Being compatible with Seegene's fully automated system,
the assay can be performed efficiently
