Seegene, a global total molecular diagnostics solutions company (Co-CEOs Jong-Yoon Chun and Daehoon Lee), announced today that its employees have donated approximately KRW 5.82 million in emergency relief funds to ChildFund Korea (Chairman Young-ki Hwang), a child welfare organization, to support climate disaster recovery efforts in Nepal.
ChildFund Korea launched emergency relief activities following the large-scale flooding that struck Nepal on August 26, 2026, with the aim of supporting recovery efforts and assisting affected children. In response, Seegene employees joined the relief efforts by raising funds to help disaster victims restore their daily lives and to share warmth with global neighbors severely affected by the climate disaster.
The donated funds will be used in full to support local residents and children impacted by the disaster, including the provision of food, safe drinking water, and hygiene supplies, as well as the construction of temporary shelters and the operation of psychological and emotional recovery programs.
A Seegene representative stated, “With massive flooding and landslides triggered by glacier collapse due to climate change causing severe damage across Nepal, our employees voluntarily organized this fundraising effort in hopes of providing meaningful support to local residents facing tremendous hardship.”
As a leading company committed to simultaneously pursuing corporate social responsibility and sustainable growth, Seegene will continue to carry out social contribution initiatives focused on advancing global health and coexisting with global communities.
