Seegene receives Best Website Award at the 2014 Korea Business Communications Awards

Dec 04, 2014

?
On December 3, 2014, the Seegene website (www.seegene.com) received the best website award in the website component of the 2014 Korea Business Communications Awards. Supervised by the Korea Newsletter Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Assembly Committee on Culture, Sports and Tourism, this award ceremony is conducted annually to encourage the qualitative enhancement of communications-related products created by domestic companies, organizations, and groups.?
?
Acknowledged not only within Korea but also internationally as an authoritative event, the Korea Business Communications Awards receives entries from various communications sectors (newsletter, website, publicity material, overseas PR, broadcasts, news, etc.) through recommendations. Submissions are evaluated by a committee made up of approximately 100 experts from academia, the media, and industry. After a preliminary round and a final round, winners are determined according to their scores for each category.
?
Seegene’s current website was renewed and updated in February 2014. Despite its dealing with the difficult subject of molecular diagnosis, the website received a high score for its balanced presentation of technical and popular information catering to a diversity of website users and making it easy for everyone to understand. It was also recognized for a design that is both neatly organized on screen and reflects the company’s identity. Its message was evaluated as being effectively portrayed through the unique layout of the menu.

Deputy Director Jae-ho Choi, who received the award on behalf of Seegene CEO Jong-Yoon Chun, gave the following acceptance remarks: “Unlike in the past, when it primarily serviced experts and professionals, our website has tried to popularize the difficult subject of molecular diagnosis for the general public. Previously, we mainly aimed to show experts as many products as possible, but we have taken the first step toward making a ‘kinder’ website that showcases our corporate image and addresses the right to know of anyone who visits.
”?
Having been updated and changed five times since the company’s founding, the Seegene website of 2014 contains more vivid and easy-to-understand content than in the past. It currently includes Easy Story of Molecular Diagnosis, e-cards, a cyber academic association, Seegene Academy, and This and That as well as a search engine that can find detailed product information, academic articles, technology explanations, and descriptions of company facilities.
