Outline

Extensively drug-resistant TB(XDR-TB) is defined as MDR-TB plus resistance to at least one drug in both of the two most important classes of medicines in an MDR-TB regimen: fluoroquinolones and second-line injectable agents (amikacin, capreomycin or kanamycin). Among cases of MDR-TB in 2017, 8.5% were estimated to have extensively drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB).1)

Allplex™ MTB/XDRe Detection is a multiplex real-time PCR assay that detect MTB with Ct value and identify 13 mutations associated with XDR-TB simultaneously. Based on Seegene's proprietary DPO™ and TOCE™ technology, this assay aids XDR-TB treatment rapidly and accurately.
