| Pneumonia is usually caused by viruses and bacteria. 2/3 of typical Pneumonia is caused by Streptococcus pneumonia. However, atypical pneumonia, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Legionella pneumophila, Bordetella pertussis, is uncommon unlike typical pneumonia. By applying an innovative DPO™ based multiplex PCR system having optimized specificity and sensitivity, Seeplex® PneumoBacter ACE Detection simply, rapidly, and accurately detects 6 bacteria causing pneumonia in respiratory specimens. |
