Seegene signed a research agreement with H1N1 Cross-Agencies Task Force (headed by professor Woojoo Kim, Division of Infectious Diseases, Korea Univ. Guro Hospital) on the establishment of a rapid diagnostic technique and medium and long-term epidemiological / clinical research to secure fundamental technology to address the threat of respiratory virus pandemics that require national preparation due to their high infectivity and fatality.
Through this agreement, Seegene and the H1N1 Cross-Agencies Task Force will cooperate with each other in the epidemiological investigation and clinical research of respiratory infection by using respiratory virus diagnosis products, the development of diagnosis products of new strains of viruses to enable quick diagnoses in an H1N1 pandemic, and the research of diagnostic techniques for respiratory infections other than influenza. In addition, both parties will strengthen their research collaboration relationship by actively exchanging academic research and technical information to establish the systematic diagnoses of respiratory viruses.
